Training and Development

PARTNER ONBOARDING
- Lateral Partner Integration — Lateral partners are supported through a global platform to ensure a smooth transition, streamline communications, provide leadership opportunities and optimize partner networks.
LEGAL TRAINING
We offer a wide variety of professional development programs, many of which offer Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. Our robust training offerings include:
- Developing First Year Associates — Our programming for first year associates helps them understand the Firm’s vision and strategic direction, department goals and structures, ways to increase their skills while delivering excellent legal services and establishing professional relationships across the Firm.
- Guiding Mid-level Associates — We focus on communicating our Firm’s business strategies, and how they map to associate development and advancement. We ensure our associates develop skills important for success when leading teams and matters, including delegating/supervising effectively and asking for/offering feedback. We provide insight into the path to partnership, the business of law, and the drivers of profitability.
- Department and Practice Group Academies — We provide robust substantive training programs, enabling associates to continually expand their legal expertise. Our department and practice groups embrace a culture of ongoing learning.
- Connecting with Firm Management — Firm management regularly meets with associates across the Firm.
CONTINUOUS CAREER DEVELOPMENT
- Career Coaching — We help our attorneys assess their skills, develop a personal career plan, seek additional opportunities for growth and mentorship and provide guidance for networking efforts. The Firm has an in-house Director of Attorney Careers who offers group and 1:1 coaching, including 1st year associate coaching cohorts.
- In-house Counsel Opportunities — We offer client career opportunities for associates to confidentially search potential opportunities in-house and other legal positions.
