Paul Hastings Enhances Real Estate Department With Addition of Partner Mitchell Menzer
Los Angeles, CA (June 12, 2006) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Mitchell Menzer, previously at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, will join the firm's Real Estate Department, resident in the Los Angeles office. Menzer's practice focuses on the representation of real estate funds and other investors, and sophisticated real estate developers in the purchase, sale, financing and land use approvals with respect to real estate projects.

Menzer's clients have ranged from the Morgan Stanley Real Estate
Fund, the J.E. Robert Companies, DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, Southbrook Equities, Union Pacific Resources, and Mitsubishi Corporation, among others.
Menzer served on the Los Angeles City Planning Commission from 2000 to 2004 and as the president of the Commission 2002-2003. As a member of the Commission, he led efforts to reform the zoning code and land use approval procedures, with a particular focus on increasing housing production in Los Angeles. He has represented developers and investors in land use matters in numerous jurisdictions. Additionally, he serves as a member of the California's Resources Agency CEQA Advisory Group. He is active with the Urban Land Institute, the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate, the Trust for Public Land and the Center for Creative Land Recycling.
