Law360 Real Estate Authority Features Josh Sternoff, Tim Fesenmyer in ‘Sealing the Deal’

Partners Josh Sternoff and Tim Fesenmyer connected with Law360 Real Estate Authority for a “Sealing the Deal” story on the firm’s longstanding representation of Artemis Real Estate Partners, including in the recent acquisition of Artemis by global asset management firm Barings.

Josh and Tim discuss the firm’s history with Artemis, which includes advising on the joint venture — 16 years and several fundraising cycles ago — that created the first women-owned real estate investment firm.

“We didn't take for granted the fact that we've been their long-term counsel,” Josh noted in the article, adding that working on this latest transaction with Artemis has been an honor.

Remarking on the nature of this particular deal, Tim pointed out that, while the integration of the parties involved in the transaction isn’t usually a focus for deal lawyers, that wasn’t true here.

“In this case, we've been there for all the history of the firm, and we'd certainly love to be there right as it continues to make history into the future,” he said.

“Part of that is really putting together a transaction with a focus on the future, as part of a new platform, in a new environment for the client,” Tim added.
