FCDE Signs An Exclusivity Agreement With Cobham

Paris - Paul Hastings (Europe) LLP advised FCDE on the signing of an exclusivity agreement with Cobham to acquire its French subsidiary Cobham Microwave, in which it would become the majority shareholder alongside the management team led by Pierre Rapharel.

This new investment aims at supporting the development of Cobham Microwave. With the contribution of new resources and the support of the FCDE, the goal is to create a consolidation platform in communication components and subsystems for critical applications.

Cobham Microwave has a long experience in the design and manufacture of radio frequency components and subsystems for the space, defense and security, scientific and medical applications industries. Its expertise includes silicon diodes, radio frequency modules, isolators and circulators, filters and duplexers, waveguides and subsystems. Its products are qualified and used on major space, defense and security programs, and for medical applications worldwide.

The transaction, which is still subject to the consultation of employee representative bodies, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.
