普衡获《国家法律杂志》评为华盛顿哥伦比亚特区年度白领诉讼部門

May 29, 2020

Washington, D.C. – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm’s Investigations and White Collar Defense Practice was named Washington D.C.’s White Collar Litigation Department of the Year by The National Law Journal (NLJ).

“Our strategy is simple: we listen to our clients, understand their objectives, and provide them with the highest quality legal services of any law firm worldwide,” wrote Kwame Manley and Robert Luskin, in a Q&A feature published in the NLJ.

The Q&A noted the firm’s challenging, high-profile representation of Gordon Sondland, U.S. Ambassador to the EU, in the impeachment proceedings against President Trump. The feature noted how Manley and Luskin advanced their client’s interests in “a pivotal moment of the impeachment proceedings.”

NLJ’s feature also noted the firm’s successful representation of an international bank in a settlement with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) which included no admission of liability and a 98% reduction of OFAC’s penalty demand.

The feature noted the firm’s success representing global corporations in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matters, recently securing resolutions in its representations of Airbus, TechnipFMC, SBM Offshore, and Alstom. “The most satisfying matters are those in which we formulate an effective global strategy that yields optimum results. The stakes are always high, and our clients rely on our judgment, experience, and expertise to help them through difficult periods,” wrote Manley and Luskin.

NLJ will host its annual legal awards honoring Paul Hastings, among others, on November 5, 2020, in Washington, D.C. Most recently, the firm was also recognized among the firms featured on NLJ’s 2020 Pro Bono Hot List.

At Paul Hastings, our purpose is clear — to help our clients and people navigate new paths to growth. With a strong presence throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., Paul Hastings is recognized as one of the world’s most innovative global law firms.
