Overview

Jackson Cooper is an associate in the Alternative Lender and Private Credit practice, focused on the global alternative lender platform. He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Mr. Cooper’s practice is devoted to the representation of alternative lenders and investors in complex financing transactions and credit arrangements. His experience involves representing clients in a broad range of financing facilities, including first-lien and second-lien loans, first-out/last-out facilities, unitranche facilities, asset-based and cash flow financings, bridge financings, and cross-border and multi-currency loans. Mr. Cooper regularly represents private equity funds, second lien lenders, hedge funds, BDCs, SBIC funds, and specialty finance companies, often in the context of sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, and restructurings.

 

Mr. Cooper received his law degree from Emory University School of Law, where he was a managing editor for the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review. He is admitted to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
