Overview

Elina Balagula is a Knowledge & Innovation Attorney based in the firm’s New York office.

Ms. Balagula leads Knowledge and Innovation initiatives for the Financial Restructuring Group. In this role, she works closely with practice group leadership, attorneys, and business professionals to identify practice innovation needs and leverages cutting-edge legal technology to implement bespoke solutions and optimize legal processes. Ms. Balagula assesses knowledge needs and drives internal knowledge programs to deliver critical legal content in furtherance of providing the highest level of substantive legal advice to clients.

Prior to joining the firm’s Practice Innovation and Legal Solutions department, Ms. Balagula was a Transactional Business Consultant in the Financial & Corporate Compliance division of a global information services company where she developed knowledge management strategies and advised Am Law 100 law firms on transactional matters and technology implementation.

Ms. Balagula’s legal practice spans serving as General Counsel for a New York financial services company, an associate in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice of a prominent regional law firm, and a Judicial Law Clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
