Overview

Claire Saba Murphy is an associate in the Employment Law Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Claire represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, pay equity, and contractual disputes. She has represented employers in multiple jurisdictions in state and federal courts, arbitration, and government investigations. Her practice focuses on employment counseling and litigating both single-plaintiff and class and collection actions. 

Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Claire clerked for the Chief Justice of Maryland's Supreme Court. Claire also served as a judicial intern at the District Court for the District of Columbia for current Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Previously, Claire was a Human Resources Associate at a top technology company in Silicon Valley, where she gained valuable, first-hand experience with internal investigations, performance management, hiring, workforce analytics, and human resource operations.

Claire received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude, in 2019, where she served on the American Criminal Law Review and as Editor-in-Chief of the Annual Survey of White Collar Crime. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction from the University of Virginia in 2013. Ms. Saba Murphy is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
