Overview
Rakhi Kumar is an associate in the Employment practice and is based in the firm’s Orange County office.
Ms. Kumar represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, pay equity, and wage and hour issues. Ms. Kumar has defended employers against class and representative actions, multi-plaintiff, and single-plaintiff lawsuits across the retail, finance, technology, and entertainment industries in state and federal court and arbitration proceedings. Ms. Kumar’s practice also involves assisting employers in revising and implementing employment policies and procedures.
Education
Ms. Kumar received her law degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Law (summa cum laude) in 2022 where she served as a Staff Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review. She also participated in the Immigrant Rights Clinic, where she advocated for post-conviction relief for her client.
Ms. Kumar earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 2017. Ms. Kumar is admitted to practice law in California.
