Overview

Dylan Crosby is an associate in the Real Estate practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's San Francisco office. He is a trusted advisor to clients across diverse industries, including, energy, real estate development, construction, transportation, agriculture and timber, mining, and technology companies.

Mr. Crosby regularly advises clients on a variety of sensitive business concerns, from commercial disputes, corporate governance, regulatory inquiries and investigations, to environmental and land use, torts, and class actions. He handles all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts across the United States. Mr. Crosby also has extensive experience handling litigation under the California and federal open records laws (e.g., California Public Records Act and Freedom of Information Act), and mandamus proceedings under California law.

While attending law school, Dylan specialized in environmental and land use law and graduated with the school's inaugural Environmental Law Certificate, which he helped design the prerequisites for.

  • Defended client in $56 million lawsuit concerning deal to purchase personal protective equipment during COVID-19 pandemic (e.g., latex gloves).

  • Represented county and landowner in connection with public nuisance and air pollution lawsuits involving a 900-acre rock quarry located in Napa County.

  • Defended municipality in CEQA lawsuit challenging municipality's approval of a residential development project in coastal zone.
  • Represented trucking company in CEQA and APA lawsuit challenging CARB's amendments to its Truck and Bus regulations (John R. Lawson Rock & Oil, Inc. v. State Air Resources Board (2018) 12 Cal.App.5th 77).
  • Represented biofuels company in CEQA, APA, and CPRA lawsuit challenging CARB's approval of Low Carbon Fuel Standards regulations (POET, LLC v. State Air Resources Board (2017) 12 Cal.App.5th 52).
