Overview
Dana Weir is of counsel in the Patent Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's New York office. Ms. Weir's practice primarily focuses on complex litigation in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology areas.
Ms. Weir has extensive experience in patent litigation and counseling in a broad range of technologies. She has experience in all stages of major patent litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, trial, post-trial and appeal. Ms. Weir has represented innovative brand name pharmaceutical companies in complex Hatch-Waxman litigations against multiple defendants, as well as biotech and electronics companies.
Ms. Weir received her J.D. from New York University in 2005, where she was an Articles Editor for the Annual Survey of American Law. Ms. Weir performed graduate research and completed coursework in Biological Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Columbia University in 2000. Ms. Weir is a member of the State Bar of New York. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
