Overview

Caitlin Falk is an associate in the Employment Law Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices.

Caitlin advises and represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues, in both single-plaintiff and class-action matters. Her practice also includes advising on and litigating employee mobility and trade secret matters, with a focus on protecting clients’ confidential information and intellectual property. Caitlin has a broad understanding of the legal process across different stages of litigation, with experience before government agencies, arbitral forums, federal and state trial courts, and the California Courts of Appeal.

Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Caitlin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Dana M. Sabraw of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Caitlin received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as managing editor of the UCLA Law Review, co-chair of the Law Women of UCLA, a staff member of the UCLA Women's Law Journal and a writing advisor. Caitlin received her B.A. from the University of Southern California, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude.

  • Obtained a favorable settlement for global media and entertainment corporation in representative litigation alleging systemic discrimination, harassment and retaliation
  • Large international corporation in arbitration against executive’s claims of discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination, prevailing at arbitration on all claims  
  • Life sciences company in employee mobility and trade secrets case related to senior executive’s theft of confidential information prior to joining a competitor  
  • Internal investigation of senior executive for suspected theft of confidential company information and violations of company policy
  • Numerous trainings for employees of large organizations regarding prevention of harassment, discrimination and retaliation
  • Multiple companies to provide ongoing legal advice on a host of topics such as hiring, termination, performance management, dispute resolution, leaves of absence and benefits
