Overview

Alex S. Kaufman is a partner in the Global Private Equity Practice of Paul Hastings LLP and splits time between the firm’s Palo Alto and Century City offices. Mr. Kaufman advises private equity, growth equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and standalone technology companies on investments, acquisitions, and divestitures, with an emphasis on the software and technology sectors. His clients have included many of the world’s leading technology-focused buyout and growth equity funds. Mr. Kaufman also has an active startup practice, counseling emerging technology clients on capital raising and general corporate matters. In addition, Mr. Kaufman serves as U.S. counsel to numerous Israeli technology companies and previously served as Co-Chair of the Israel Practice Group at a leading international law firm.

Mr. Kaufman graduated, with honors, from the Emory University School of Law, where he served as senior editor of the Emory International Law Review, president of the Jewish Law Students Association, and senior advisor to the Federalist Society. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
