Overview

Abigail (Abby) Siegel is an associate in the Global Hospitality & Leisure practice and is based in the firm's New York office. Ms. Siegel represents institutional real estate companies, investors, and other capital providers, as well as developers and management companies, in the acquisition, disposition, development, management, licensing, financing, and operation of hotels, resorts, mixed-used projects, private clubs, restaurants, and other real estate commercial assets and businesses throughout the world. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements; joint venture agreements; management, franchise, and licensing agreements; private membership club documents; leases and special event booking agreements; and loan documents.

Education

Ms. Siegel received her law degree from University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 2018, where she served as an associate editor of the UCLA Law Review, member of UCLA Law Women Lead, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boston University in 2015. Ms. Siegel is admitted to practice law in California and New York.

  • Prospect Ridge in the acquisition of 12 hotels in nine states throughout the United States.
  • Eagle Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust, a public REIT formed in Singapore, in its complicated Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, including the negotiation of replacement franchise, management and forbearance agreements, and completion of the sale of 14 hotels to various bidders.
  • AMAN Sarl in the development of AMAN-branded private clubs and the expansion of AMAN hotels and resorts.
  • Watermark Lodging Trust, Inc. in dispositions, acquisitions, financings and/or refinancings for various assets on behalf of the real estate investment trust.
  • Related Companies LP in the negotiation and documentation of private club agreements for the Wine Spectator Club and ZZ/Carbone Club (with Major Food Group) at Hudson Yards in NYC.
  • The Blackstone Group L.P. in the disposition of various hospitality assets located throughout the United States.
