Paul Hastings’ Securities and Capital Markets Practice Advises on over 70 SPAC IPOs in Q1 2021

Paul Hastings’ global Securities and Capital Markets practice has accelerated its strong momentum in Equity Capital Markets, advising on over 70 special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) IPOs in the first quarter of 2021. These include 18 SPAC IPOs that have closed during Q1, approximately 50 active SPAC IPOs filed or submitted with the SEC in the pipeline for Q2 and Q3 2021, as well as dozens of additional SPACs looking to start the registration process.
Paul Hastings continues to be a market leader for SPACs, which accounted for half of the total IPO market in 2020. That trend has accelerated in 2021 with SPACs accounting for 80% of the total IPO market in Q1.
