Paul Hastings Ranked #1 in The American Lawyer Midlevel Associates Survey
August 03, 2022
Paul Hastings LLP earned the top ranking nationally in The American Lawyer’s 2022 Midlevel Associates Survey of job satisfaction across more than 75 law firms.
The survey polled third through fifth-year associates on 12 aspects of job satisfaction, including compensation and benefits; training and guidance; relations with partners and other associates; interest in and satisfaction level with the work; the firm’s policy on billable hours; and management’s openness about firm strategies and partnership chances.
“We value our talented associates and make every effort to include them with significant roles in our industry-leading matters. It’s a critical part of our highly collaborative culture and we’re incredibly proud of their contributions,” said Frank Lopez, the firm’s managing partner and chair-elect. “This top ranking reflects the success of our efforts.”
This recognition follows other recent accolades for the firm’s culture, including top rankings in The American Lawyer’s 2022 “A-List,” which ranks firms across five key metrics, including revenue per lawyer, associate satisfaction, diversity, and pro bono, and its 2022 Diversity Scorecard. Vault also recently gave Paul Hastings top-ten rankings in several categories, including Best Law Firm to Work For.
Paul Hastings is ranked as one of the top firms in the world in The American Lawyer’s “Premier League” for momentum, profit and prestige among Am Law 100 firms in 2022.
