Paul Hastings Advises Sponsors and Underwriters on Weilong’s Hong Kong Listing

In its ninth Hong Kong IPO of 2022, Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, advised Morgan Stanley Asia Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited, and UBS Securities Hong Kong Limited as joint sponsors in connection with the US$130.3 million global offering of Weilong Delicious Global Holdings Ltd. (“Weilong”) and its listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The Paul Hastings capital markets team has advised on more than 10% of this year’s total listings on the Main Board this year. In the Weilong listing, UBS AG Hong Kong Branch, Morgan Stanley Asia Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited acted as the joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners, and joint lead managers; BNP Paribas Securities (Asia) Limited and Futu Securities International (Hong Kong) Limited acted as the joint bookrunners and joint lead managers; CCB International Capital Limited acted as the one of the joint lead managers; Silverbricks Securities Company Limited and I Win Securities Limited acted as the co-managers.

Backed by major investors including Tencent, Sequoia Capital China, CPE, and Hillhouse, Weilong is a Chinese spicy snack food maker with a 2021 market share of 6.2% and top ranking among all spicy snack food enterprises in China, according to Frost & Sullivan.

This deal was led by Raymond Li, global partner and chair of Greater China, and corporate department partners Chaobo Fan and Vincent Wang, with support from of counsels Crystal Liu and Eric Wong, associates Berton Wang and Sara She, legal manager Flora Huang, China associates Irina He, Guozhen Wang and Yanzi Shen, and China advisors Bonnie Liu and Yufei Mo.
