Paul Hastings (Europe) LLP advised French National Rugby League in connection with the attribution of the broadcasting rights for the TOP 14 and PRO D2 championships to Canal+ for a total of €696.8 million over 5 seasons.

Following the invitation to tender launched on 2 April 2024, the French National Rugby League has awarded the broadcasting rights for the TOP 14 and PRO D2 championships to Canal+, which has won the four packages on offer and will thus have exclusive broadcasting rights for TOP 14 and PRO D2 matches and magazines for the 2027-2032 cycle. The total value of the rights amounts to €696.8 million excluding taxes over 5 seasons, i.e. an average amount per season of €139.4 million excluding taxes, an increase of 14.7% compared to the current value of the rights.
