Related Companies Secures Approval for the Largest Private Development Project in Silicon Valley

SANTA CLARA, CA – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, represented The Related Companies as lead land use and environmental counsel in securing unanimous approval on June 28, 2016 from the Santa Clara City Council of the largest private development project in the history of Silicon Valley. The City’s approval gives the Related Companies the green light to build a $6.5 billion mixed-use complex with a retail/entertainment center, hotels, apartment buildings, office campuses and a new 31-acre City Park. The project is located next to Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, on a 240-acre, City-owned closed landfill currently used as a municipal golf course and dirt-bike track.
