Paul Hastings Represents Starwood Capital Group in Acquisition of De Vere Venues

London - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that it has advised Starwood Capital Group on their acquisition of De Vere Venues (see announcement), with a team in London led by partner David Ryland with associates Mark Rajbenbach, Michael James and Denize Akbulut, partner Justin Jowitt and associate Rebecca Coveney on finance issues, and associate Jiten Tank on tax issues.

This follows Starwood’s acquisition of Four Pillars Hotels in January, on which Paul Hastings also advised (see announcement). The team on that transaction was also led by David Ryland and included partner Garrett Hayes and associates Mark Rajbenbach, Michael James and George Weston.

Paul Hastings was instructed on both these matters following the arrival of David Ryland, who joined the firm November 2013. David and his team also advised Starwood Capital on its acquisition last year of the Principal Hayley Group of 23 landmark City Centre hotels in the UK and Europe.
