Paul Hastings Represents River Capital in its Acquisition of Signature Designs

Atlanta, GA (July 19, 2006) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, represented River Capital, Inc., an Atlanta-based private investment firm, in its purchase of Signature Designs International, Inc.. The deal closed on July 17, 2006. Financing was provided by a combination of senior debt from CIT and subordinated debt from River Capital affiliates.

The Paul Hastings team, led by Atlanta partner Wayne Bradley, also included associates Browning Afield and Tong Zou.

Under the agreement, Signature Designs, an importer of artificial floral arrangements for the home décor market, will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Image Group, Inc.-a portfolio company of River Capital that was formed to facilitate the investment in and development of complementary craft and home décor companies.
