Paul Hastings Represents Habasit Holding AG in Tender Offer to Acquire Summa Industries

Atlanta, GA (September 1, 2006) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is representing Habasit Holding AG, a privately held Swiss company in connection with its tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Summa Industries (NASDAQ: SUMX). The transaction, announced on September 1, 2006, is valued in excess of $80 million including assumption of indebtedness.

Under the transaction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Habasit is offering to acquire Summa Industries via a cash tender offer of $15.00 per share for all outstanding shares of Summa common stock.
