Paul Hastings Named “Transatlantic Firm of the Year” at British Legal Awards 2020
November 19, 2020
London – At the British Legal Awards 2020, hosted virtually by actor Richard E. Grant, Paul Hastings LLP was named “Transatlantic Firm of the Year”, for displaying a key strategy of matching its U.K. strengths with those in the United States. Richard noted that Paul Hastings’ initiatives in employee well-being however are what made it stand out from the rest. The awards, presented by Legal Week and Law.com, were overseen by an independent judging panel chaired by the City of London Law Society.
In a video to accept the award, London office chair Arun Birla said he was ‘humbled, delighted, and honoured’ to receive the award, and credited it to hard work and the transatlantic strategy the firm has adopted for the past few years. He also noted the recent hires of Mei Lian, Peter Hayes, and Derwin Jenkinson. London office vice-chair Suzanne Horne thanked our clients for trusting us with their most important work, and noted our market-leading parental leave policy, Covid relief fund, and well-being plan.
Paul Hasting was also nominated for seven other awards, more than any other law firm, including awards for International Law Firm of the Year, Rising Star for partner Matthew Poxon, and awards for CSR/Diversity, M&A, Banking & Finance, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Private Equity.
At Paul Hastings, our purpose is clear — to help our clients and people navigate new paths to growth. With a strong presence throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., Paul Hastings is recognised as one of the world’s most innovative global law firms.
