Paul Hastings’ Energy and Infrastructure Practice Recognized for Four Awards Related to the Financing of the Norte III Power Plant in Mexico

New York – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the Firm is pleased to be recognized with four awards for its representation of multiple project finance lenders in connection with the financing and construction of Norte III, a 907‑megawatt power generation project.
The firm was first recognized by IJGlobal, which honored the Norte III project as “Latin American Power Deal of the Year,” and as the Overall Winner among Latin American infrastructure deals for 2017. Most recently, the firm was also honored by Latin Lawyer as joint recipients of their “Project Finance Deal of the Year Award” for the Norte III matter. The firm has also been honored by Power Finance & Risk, which recognized Norte III as a “Latin American Project Finance Deal of the Year.”
The lenders to the Norte III project constitute a group of commercial banks, Mexican development banks, and export credit agencies – as led by Natixis and SMBC as coordinating lead arrangers – in the greenfield acquisition financing of the project.
