Paul Hastings Advises Semtech Corporation in its Agreement to Acquire Sierra Monolithics

Los Angeles, CA (December 14, 2009)- Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm advised Semtech Corporation, a leading semiconductor supplier, in its definitive agreement to acquire Sierra Monolithics, Inc., a provider of high performance analog ICs and solutions for a wide variety of communications systems and applications. The agreement, which was announced on November 18, is valued at $180 million.

The transaction complements Semtechs leadership positions in high performance protection, power management, industrial wireless, and timing synchronization platforms.

Los Angeles partner Robert Miller led the Paul Hastings team, which included partner Stephen Harris, and associates Claudia Simon and Nasym Korloo.
