Paul Hastings Advises Private Equity Firm Pfingsten Partners in Acquisition of FKI Security

Chicago, IL (October 11, 2010) - Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, a leading global law firm, advised private equity firm Pfingsten Partners. L.L.C. in its acquisition of FKI Security Group, LLC, an Indiana-based manufacturer and service provider of security, safety, and asset protection products.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Private equity partner Brian Richards and of counsel Chris Sheaffer led the Paul Hastings team, which included tax partner Jim Smulkowski and finance associate Lindsay Sparks.

Richards, who joined Paul Hastings in August, recently advised Tricor Pacific Capital, Inc. in the acquisition of BFG Supply Company LLC, a leading distributor of greenhouse and nursery supplies to the U.S. horticultural and floricultural industry and Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company in its investment in RSA Medical, LLC, an outsourced provider of technology-based risk management services to the individual health and life insurance industries.
