Paul Hastings Advises on Two Hong Kong Rights Issues

Hong Kong (June 12, 2014) - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm acted on two Hong Kong rights issues, advising UBS as the financial adviser on Fosun International Limited’s (“Fosun International”) US$631 million rights issue and Haitong International Securities Group Limited (“Haitong International”) on its US$340 million rights issue.
UBS was the financial adviser for Fosun International, a Hong Kong-listed company with a focus on four main business areas including insurance, industrial operations, investments and assets management.
Both transactions were led by Raymond Li, Partner and Chair of Greater China, and capital markets partner Sammy Li.
Associates Eric Chow, Winfield Lau and trainee solicitor Lucy Lam supported on the Fosun deal.
Of counsel Bonnie Yung, associate Catherine Chu and trainee solicitor Vivian Lee supported on the Haitong International matter.
