MidCap Financial Leads Production Financing for Sonar Entertainment

Century City, CA – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm is advising MidCap Financial, a specialty finance firm, in connection with a $121 million production finance facility to independent TV studio Sonar Entertainment.

Sonar plans to use the facility for the development, financing, production and distribution of premium content. Sonar plans additional expansion into non-scripted and kids & family programming. Currently, the studio’s scripted shows include Mr. Mercedes, The Son, Taboo, Das Boot, The Hunt and Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy. Sonar has an additional 21 projects in development at premier networks and digital platforms, and a robust pipeline of more than 40 shows and a library consisting of more than 1,000 titles
