Emerson to Buy General Electric’s Intelligent Platforms Business

Atlanta - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm is representing General Electric in its proposed divestiture of its Intelligent Platforms business to Emerson, a leader in automation for process and industrial applications. Intelligent Platforms, a division of GE Power, provides programmable logic controller technologies to enable broader control and management of industrial operations. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of fiscal 2019, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
