Eiser Global Infrastructure Fund sells Società Gasdotti Italia to Macquarie Consortium

Milan - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, has advised Eiser Global Infrastructure Fund in the disposal of Società Gasdotti Italia S.p.A. (SGI) to a consortium composed of Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4 (MEIF4), managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, and Swiss Life Asset Management. This landmark deal is one of the largest ever in the Italian natural gas transport industry, and also marks the entry in this market of two of the largest international infrastructure funds. SGI owns and runs Italy's second largest natural gas distribution grid with a 1.500 Km high-pressure pipeline. The closing of the deal is subject to the approval of the European antitrust authorities and of the Italian Government.
