Carlyle’s Shanghai Office Property Acquisition

Shanghai – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it represented the Carlyle Group, a U.S.-based private equity firm, in the acquisition of an office property in Shanghai known as Manpo International Plaza. The acquisition was completed through a direct onshore asset purchase and Paul Hastings advised primarily on the dual currency onshore and offshore acquisition financing portion of the transaction.

Manpo International Plaza is a 32-storey Grade A office building located in the Changning district of Shanghai.
