Michael Murray Named 2022 DC Rising Star by The National Law Journal

September 01, 2022

The National Law Journal named Paul Hastings partner Michael Murray to its list of 2022 DC Rising Stars. Reflecting a cross-section of practice areas, the Rising Stars are recognized for exceptional work.

Based in Washington, D.C., Murray is a litigation partner in Paul Hastings’ Antitrust and Competition, Appellate, Regulatory, and Complex Litigation practices. He previously served as the principal deputy assistant attorney general in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he oversaw the work of approximately 350 lawyers and 50 economists. He also led teams that brought novel and traditional merger challenges, launched significant monopolization cases, negotiated complex merger divestitures, and settled the largest consent decree enforcement in decades. His experience also includes litigating the first-ever live-witness Tunney Act hearing, investigating complex conduct matters through the Civil Conduct Task Force and the new Financial Services, Fintech, and Banking Section, as well as litigating a variety of antitrust, commercial, and regulatory disputes in various trial and appellate courts.

Winners will be honored during an awards event at The Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., on October 20.
