Leading Capital Markets Partner Joins Paul Hastings in London

LONDON – In a move that further elevates its premier capital markets and corporate transactional platform in the UK and globally, Paul Hastings LLP announced today that leading capital markets lawyer Dan Hirschovits has joined as a partner in London from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

Hirschovits focuses his practice on UK and international equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, secondary offers, private placements, and other securities offerings, advising issuers, underwriters, sponsors, and investors on a range of public and private company corporate finance transactions, as well as public and private acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures.

Hirschovits also counsels investment banks, and companies, investors, and placement agents on early-stage financings and investments, such as private funding round transactions for startup and growth companies, with a particular focus in the technology, healthcare, and financial services sectors.

Hirschovits’ high-profile recent matters have included representing Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and the other underwriters on the $3.1 billion secondary offering of shares in Haleon by Pfizer; the syndicate of underwriters on the $4.87 billion IPO and Nasdaq listing of Arm Holdings; Barclays as sponsor on the $11.2 billion reverse takeover by Harbour Energy of Wintershall Dea’s upstream oil and gas assets; Lucid Group on its strategic supply agreement with Aston Martin Lagonda and related equity investment; NewMed Energy on its proposed combination with Capricorn Energy; and Barclays and J.P. Morgan as joint global coordinators on the £3.1 billion IPO and London listing of Alphawave IP Group.

Hirschovits adds London strength to the expanding global capital markets and public company advisory practices at Paul Hastings, which recently added premier partners including Colin Diamond, co-chair of global securities and capital markets, Seo Salimi, co-head of equity capital markets, and Will Magioncalda, all in New York; a seven-lawyer Chambers-ranked corporate team led by David ElderChris Centrich, and Patrick Hurley in Houston; David Ambler in Palo Alto; and Sean Donahue, chair of public company advisory and co-chair of shareholder activism & takeover defense, in Washington, D.C. 

Hirschovits joins Paul Hastings’ London platform at a time of record performance, with attorney headcount up 60% from the start of 2022 and expected to reach over 200 by year end.
