Concesión La Pintada Secures $280 Million Refinancing for Pacífico 2 Toll Road
August 30, 2021
New York – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it represented Concesión La Pintada S.A.S., as borrower, and Odinsa S.A. and West Valley JL Holdco Limited, as sponsors, in connection with the nearly $280 million term loan and letter of credit facility to refinance their existing US Dollar indebtedness in connection with the Pacífico 2 toll road project in Colombia.
The project consists of 96.5km of roadways, with 42km of new roads and rehabilitation of 54km of existing roads, and will significantly reduce travel times in the Colombian department of Antioquia.
Latin America and Global Infrastructure and Energy partner Bob Kartheiser led the Paul Hastings team, which also included associates Thomas Sines, Juan Martín Estrada, and Eduardo Morandé.
This transaction builds on Paul Hastings deep experience in the Colombian 4G and broader infrastructure market, which includes advising on more than 10 4G toll road financings, including the Puerta de Hierro, Bogotá-Girardot, and Pacífico 1 projects financed earlier this year.
At Paul Hastings, our purpose is clear — to help our clients and people navigate new paths to growth. With a strong presence throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., Paul Hastings is recognized as one of the world’s most innovative global law firms.
