Overview
Richard Davis is a partner in the Structured Credit practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on representing both lenders and borrowers in complex financings, including leveraged, asset-based, and repo transactions.
Mr. Davis is a leading lawyer in the fintech lending market, where he represents numerous fintech lenders—and lenders to fintech lenders—in financings secured by various types of fintech assets, including consumer and small business loans, merchant cash advances, and trade receivables. Mr. Davis has extensive experience working with clients in global commercial and investment banks, commercial finance companies, direct lenders, private equity funds, and fintech originators. He also regularly represents institutional buyers and sellers in structuring and negotiating repo and other safe-harbor transactions involving various types of loans, securities, and other assets.
