Overview
Jayme Goldstein is the global co-chair of the Paul Hastings Financial Restructuring group and is based in the firm’s New York office. A nationally recognized leader in distressed situations, he is renowned for his innovative strategies, strong negotiation skills and consistent delivery of exceptional outcomes in high-stakes, complex restructuring matters.
Jayme’s clients—including hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers, banks, companies and investors—turn to him for guidance on maximizing value. Chambers USA praises his pragmatic, solution-oriented approach, quoting one client that he “doesn’t just reveal problems. He helps offer solutions and presents them in a manner which leaves the client in control.”
He has deep experience representing ad hoc groups, debtors, asset purchasers and other key stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court workouts, financings, liability management exercises, litigation and distressed mergers and acquisitions across a broad range of industries.
He has been recognized as one of the country’s top restructuring lawyers by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Legal 500, IFLR1000, Benchmark Litigation and the New York Law Journal. He has also been named by Turnarounds & Workouts as one of its “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers” four times and one of its “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers” three times.
