Overview

Christine Fiedler is an associate in the Energy and Infrastructure practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. She focuses on project development and finance, private equity, private placement offerings, asset acquisitions and dispositions and other corporate transactions related to renewable energy, the energy transition, conventional power and infrastructure. Ms. Fielder represents sponsors and lenders, including major corporations, developers, equity investors, private equity funds, institutional investors, banks and financial institutions.

Representations

  • Ms. Fiedler represented the administrative agent and lenders in a $779 million project financing in connection with Swift Current Energy’s Double Black Diamond Solar Project. Once operational, the Double Black Diamond Solar Project will be the second largest single solar phase project in the U.S..
  • She represented the lead arrangers, agents and lenders on a $600 million construction-to-term loan and tax equity financing structure for an approximately 330 MW wind project and gen-tie transmission line located in Wyoming.
  • She represented the administrative agent and lenders on a $300 million credit facility for the construction and expansion of an up to 500 MW partially-contracted portfolio of battery energy storage projects in California. Ms. Fielder also represented the lead arrangers in the construction and back-leverage take-out financing for the El Sauz wind project in Texas owned by JERA Renewables.
  • She represented the lead arrangers, agents and lenders on the credit facilities to Kapolei Energy Storage as borrower to develop, construct, finance and operate an approximately 185 MW/565 MW-hr battery energy storage facility, located in Kapolei, Hawaii (“Renewables Deal of the Year").
  • She represented the lead arrangers, agents and lenders on a credit facility to Bolt Energy FinanceCo, LLC for the construction and expansion of an up to 490 MW/1,525 MWh partially-contracted portfolio of three battery energy storage projects located in California. This is the largest financing of battery energy storage systems to-date, and one of the battery energy storage projects in the portfolio, Gateway Energy Storage, is the largest in the world (“Americas Storage Deal of the Year” by Project Finance International 2020).
