Overview

Amanda K. Taylor is an associate in the Litigation practice and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on complex intellectual property matters concerning patents, trade secrets, unfair competition, and antitrust law.

Ms. Taylor has experience representing clients in cases concerning technical subject matter spanning medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemical compounds, and biotechnology. Ms. Taylor has represented major pharmaceutical companies in litigation concerning the Hatch‑Waxman Act as well as the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA). Ms. Taylor practices in both state and federal district court, in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in post-grant proceedings, at the International Trade Commission (ITC) for Section 337 Investigations, and at U.S. Customs and Border Protection in ancillary proceedings for ITC Section 337 Investigations.

Education

Ms. Taylor received her law degree from Washington University in St Louis School of Law in 2022, where she also served as Executive Articles Editor of The Journal of Law and Policy. Alongside this, Ms. Taylor was a member of the Intellectual Property Clinic while at WashU, where she represented entrepreneurial clients looking to manage and protect their intellectual property. Before attending law school, Ms. Taylor graduated from Texas Tech University in 2017, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry. She then went on to earn her Master of Business Administration degree with a STEM specialization from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business in 2018. Ms. Taylor is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
