Overview

Ellen Atkinson is an associate in the Employment Litigation practice based in the firm’s San Diego office. Her practice focuses on all aspects of employment law.

Ms. Atkinson graduated Magna Cum Laude and a member of the Order of the Coif from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she served as an editor for, and was published in, the San Diego Law Review; briefed an asylum appeal, which received a favorable ruling, before the Ninth Circuit; placed second nationally out of twenty-two teams in the annual UC Davis King Civil Rights Mock Trial Competition; and received the William C. Kuebler Award for “demonstrated courage and tenacity in personal/professional life.” Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Atkinson clerked for a federal judge in the Western District of Texas.

 

Ms. Atkinson earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in History and Political Science and a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Colorado College, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2017. She has studied abroad four times and traveled to 40 countries. Ms. Atkinson is admitted to practice law in California and Texas.
