BPI and ABA to Regulators: Capital Increases, Court Uncertainty Could Complicate Banks' CRA Programs

The Bank Policy Institute and the American Bankers Association sent a joint-letter to the Federal Reserve Board, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency regarding two recent policy developments that could fundamentally alter banks Community Reinvestment Act programs and that policymakers should avoid finalizing proposed changes to the CRA rules until these issues are resolved.
