November 02, 2010
Sanjay M. Ranchod
California Governor Schwarzenegger recently signed landmark legislation designed to increase the use of large-scale energy storage systems. Under the bill, AB 2514, utilities will have targets to procure grid-connected energy storage systems as soon as 2015. The bill is one of the nations first laws on energy storage systems and is expected to benefit producers of intermittent energy sources such as solar and wind power.
