This research has been prepared by Paul Hastings (Europe) LLP for Terre Des Hommes Italy as part of a broader campaign aimed at fighting violence against young women.

The purpose of our study is to summarize criminal statutes and case law that address violence against women (including young women) and children.

The following analysis is the result of a study carried out by various offices of the firm both within and outside Europe. In particular, the research analyses the situation of young women at the International and European levels, as well as through the laws of a sampling of countries: France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Peoples Republic of China (PRC), Canada and the United States.
