Healthcare Industry Reps Provide Input to Federal Regulators on How Best to Accommodate ACOs

On October 5, 2010, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Health and Human Services jointly hosted a workshop with participants from different segments of the healthcare industry to gather opinions from the industry regarding integrating hospital and physicians into accountable care organizations (ACOs) and related implications on antitrust, anti-kickback, Stark and civil monetary penalty laws.
