Close to midnight on March 11, 2020, House Democrats proposed HR 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which would provide funding for various assistance programs to reduce the economic impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.  Among others, the bill provides paid medical leave to sick and quarantined employees, requires employers to provide additional sick leave, and provides funding for unemployment insurance programs.1  The House is expected to vote on the bill today, but it remains unclear whether the bill will pass.2
