Paul Hastings Global Chair of Employment Elena Baca, Co-Vice Chair of Employment and Chair of the International Employee Mobility and Trade Secrets practice Jennifer Baldocchi, and Chair of Los Angeles Employment Felicia Davis have been named among Daily Journal’s 2024 “Top Labor & Employment Lawyers.”

Ms. Baca is noted for leading teams of more than 100 people consisting of lawyers, consultants, and staff to resolve the State of California's high-profile sex discrimination litigation against Activision Blizzard. As part of the settlement, the state’s Civil Rights Department withdrew its allegations of rampant, systemic harassment within the videogame company and included recitals confirming there was no basis to the agency’s allegation of systemic unlawful employment practices.

Ms. Baldocchi is highlighted for her expertise in employee mobility, that is disputes over employees leaving one company for a competitor. In January, she tried a nonjury case in Nevada on behalf of Coincident Capital, a successful cryptocurrency hedge fund, which accused its CEO of launching another fund. Ms. Baldocchi said the case is the first trial she knows of raising these issues involving a cryptocurrency company.

Ms. Davis is credited for co-leading Paul Hastings' pay equity group and leading the Los Angeles Employment Law Department. She is currently representing major employers in several large pay equity and discrimination class cases, and in the last year, helped clients to defeat or favorably resolve several class and systemic matters.

The annual list recognizes California’s top attorneys who have made significant contributions to labor and employment law.
