Paul Hastings was recognized for innovation in the Litigation and Disputes category of the Financial Times’ North America Innovative Lawyers report, based on the firm’s representation of Braskem in a landmark global settlement with authorities in Brazil, Switzerland, and the United States. The $3.5 billion combined settlement with Odebrecht S.A., Braskem’s major shareholder, is the largest Foreign Corrupt Practices Act settlement of all time.
