Paul Hastings Wins Six ‘Deal of the Year’ Awards at IJGlobal Americas Awards 2024

Paul Hastings won six “Deal of the Year” awards at the IJGlobal Americas Awards 2024. The awards recognize outstanding deals and advisers in the Americas energy and infrastructure sectors.
The firm was honored for the following deals:
Bond of the Year: Refinancing, Latin America – Aerodom: Dominican Republic
Paul Hastings advised on a financing for Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), the Dominican Republic’s largest airport operator. The $940 million transaction involved a $500 million bond and $440 million credit facility to finance the extension of the concession agreement for six airports throughout the Dominican Republic.
Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year: US; Sustainability-Linked Loan: North America and Sustainability-Linked Loan – North America – Switch, Inc. $4.25 billion Sustainability-Linked Credit Facility
Switch, a premier provider of AI, cloud and enterprise data centers, today announced that it has closed on its $4.25 billion sustainability-linked Borrowing Base Facility (the BBF) and upsized its Revolving Credit Facility (the RCF) to $770 million. The firm represented the lenders’ counsel on the BBF and RCF transactions.
Market Impact Award: North America – Voltera
The firm advised ING as lead arranger for a $100 million debt facility to support capital expenditure deployment on assets that are backstopped by customer contracts, a first-of-its-kind for the electric vehicle charging industry, which will be used to support the development of multiple Voltera-owned and -operated charging sites as well as continued corporate growth and other initiatives.
PPP Deal of the Year: Latin America – Troncal del Magdalena I & II: Colombia
The firm represented the sponsors in connection with the peso- and synthetic-peso financing of the rehabilitation and construction of the 299 km Troncal 1 and 272 km Troncal 2 5G toll roads in Colombia under the country’s 5G infrastructure program.
Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year: North America – Etihad Park: Stadium Construction Facility
The firm advised New York City Football Club LLC (NYCFC) and its affiliates in connection with the ground leasing of the 17-acre development site on which NYCFC intends to develop Etihad Park, a 25,000-seat professional soccer stadium in the Willets Point section of Queens that is expected to open in March 2027.
