Paul Hastings’ Employment and Financial Restructuring practices were honored as 2024 “Practice Groups of the Year” by Law360.
The Employment practice is assisting with some of the largest and most challenging employment and human capital matters in the market, including representing Google in a class action alleging race discrimination on behalf of thousands of employees, helping Activision Blizzard secure the resolution of overlapping regulatory investigations and lawsuits spanning a decade, and defending Nike in a highly publicized gender discrimination putative class action.
The Financial Restructuring practice was recognized for its work on numerous pivotal cases, including representing the Unsecured Creditors’ Committees in the bankruptcies of cryptocurrency exchange FTX (the largest financial fraud in U.S. history, with over $20 billion in liabilities) and shared workspace provider WeWork (over $17 billion in liabilities), as well as an ad hoc group of crossholder lenders and noteholders in the bankruptcy of Diamond Sports (approximately $9 billion in liabilities), a case that fundamentally changed how Americans watch sports.
