Paul Hastings’ Antitrust and Competition Practice Debuts on Global Competition Review’s GCR 100 2025

December 16, 2024

Global Competition Review recently recognized Paul Hastings’ Antitrust group in the 2025 “GCR 100,” the 25th edition of its annual list of the top antitrust and competition practices worldwide. Co-Chairs of the Antitrust and Competition practice, Michael Murray and Ryan Phair, also were recognized as “Recommended” practitioners.

Paul Hastings was lauded for a trio of high-profile victories in complex antitrust litigation matters this year. The firm secured summary judgment for Align Technology against allegations it illegally monopolized dental aligners by denying interoperability for a rival teeth scanner. It also prevailed in an antitrust class action filed against its client, CACI International, and other major defense contractors alleging that the “Beltway bandits” conspired not to poach rival shipbuilders and naval engineers. Finally, it successfully defended Mustang Pipeline, a joint venture of Exxon and Endbridge, in a private antitrust action brought by an upstart competitor accusing the oil giants of monopolizing the transportation of crude oil services near Chicago.

The annual GCR 100 lists the world’s best competition practices providing a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the law firms and economic consultancies doing the most important antitrust work globally.
