LSI's 7th Annual Conference on Renewable Energy in the Pacific Northwest

Law Seminars International presents its Seventh Annual Conference with leading federal and state policy makers, attorneys, developers, utility managers and financial players taking a fresh look at the renewable energy sector.
The speakers will address transmission constraints and the need to integrate intermittent renewable resources including challenges that may spur energy storage and smart grid development while creating a new role for natural gas generation. In light of the wind industry's unprecedented growth and the economy's unprecedented struggles, state incentive programs and national energy policy, as well as Ecology's and EPA's efforts to regulate greenhouse gas impacts, will be examined. Also discussed will be best practices for engaging wildlife agencies and prompting them to convert policy declarations into action and tips for dealing with BPA on integration into the grid and strategies for dealing with tribes as co-developers or commercial partners. A wrap-up panel will talk about structuring power sales agreements in ways that facilitate raising capital for new and growing ventures.
